Floyd Mayweather Breaks His Silence On A Conor McGregor Fight

The highly anticipated fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor has taken a step closer to reality, with Mayweather saying there is a "90 per cent chance" he will fight McGregor if he comes out of retirement.

The 40-year-old former boxer said on Saturday he would "absolutely not" fight anyone else, and a clash with McGregor is the "only fight that makes sense".

"If I do fight, there's a 90 percent chance it's against Conor McGregor," he said.

"When I get back to the US I'll call (my advisor) Al (Haymon) and see our next move. There's no rush.

"The only fight that makes sense to me is the McGregor fight."

Mayweather admitted the demand was overwhelming.

"We have to give the people what they want to see," he said.

"The fans demand that fight. We have to give them what they want to see to make them happy.

"When we make a move it's going to be huge. When Floyd Mayweather fights it's history."
