Boxing champ Jeff Horn will defend his welterweight title against England's Gary Corcoran.

The fight has been locked in at the Brisbane Convention Centre on Wednesday, December 13.

For Horn, there's a huge bonus - News Corp has reported it's part of a two-fight deal that would then see him target Conor McGregor.

The deal could mark McGregor's second bout, after the Irishman made his boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather, losing via technical knockout in the 10th round, in the richest fight in boxing history.

It's Horn's first fight since he defeated Manny Pacquiao by a points decision in Brisbane back in July for the welterweight title.

Horn believes Corcoran will embrace the underdog status as the challenger.

“Corcoran is 26, so he’s three years younger than me - he’s very fit, strong and hungry,’’ Horn told News Corp.

“He’s a dangerous guy. I know what it’s like to be a determined underdog just like he is going into this fight.

“This is his golden opportunity to do what I did against Pacquiao but there are millions of dollars on offer for me with big fights in 2018 so I can’t let this guy come to my home town and wreck all my good work.’’
