An Achilles injury has forced Sally Pearson to withdraw from the Commonwealth Games.
While the captain of the Australian athletics team will host a press conference at 1pm today, Pearson told her teammates at about 9am that she would be withdrawing.
Pearson's Achilles injury means she can't race over hurdles but it's understood that she now won't be competing in the sprint relay either.
More to come.
