A forthcoming 'hacker' tournament in Port Macquarie has got the attention of some of the world's best golfers, even getting video testimony from legends like Adam Scott, Jason Day and Rod Pampling bemoaning the fact that they haven't won a Port Plate.

The Port Plate is an amateur golf tournament about to be held on the mid-north coast of NSW – with a field of just 32 handicappers - and has attracted the attention of the world’s best golfers.

The best thing about it... the tournament raises funds for children with autism.

The event has been going since 2010, and is the brainchild of Brian Johnson, whose youngest son is on the spectrum.

Brian used a news reporter mate on the US and European tour to get some statements from some of the world's best, and this was the result.
