The Philadelphia Eagles have won their first ever super bowl, denying Tom Brady’s New England Patriots’ back to back push.

The Eagles won an entertaining encounter 41-33 after leading for nearly the entire match.

Eagles quarterback Nick Foles had a brilliant game, throwing for 373 yards and three touchdowns.

Foles was named MVP for his efforts.

LeGarette Blount, Corey Clement, Alshon Jeffery, Zach Ertz and Foles crossed for touchdowns, while Tom Brady threw 505 yards - a post-season record - for three touchdowns.

Rob Gronwkowski scored two touchdowns for the Pats, while Chris Hogan and James White also made it in to the end zone.

Today's win is the Eagle's fourth overall league championship, with the 1948, 1949 and 1960 championships all under their belt.
