At this stage, UFC 221 scheduled to take place in Perth has no official main event.

The orgainsation was sent into a spin when one half of the main even, Cuban fighter Yoel Romero failed to make the 185 pound weight limit. 

Romero first weighed in at 188 pounds but was give two hours to make the 185 limit in order for the fight to be for the Interim Middleweight Championship. 

The 40-year-old failed to lose the 3 pounds, coming in at 187. 

Now, because of the missed weight negotiations have to re-opened with both Romero and his opponent Luke Rockhold. 

And things aren't looking too good according to lead MMA journalist Ariel Helwani

If the fight does become official only Rockhold can become the Interim champion.
