Wayne Carey has named who he would make the All-Australian captain on The Sunday Rub this afternoon.

The dilemma that faces the All-Australian selection panel is that there may not be any current AFL club captains in the team and would need to seek an alternative option to be named captain.

“If there’s not a (club) captain in there, I would probably go to maybe who you consider the best player in the team," he said.

"Maybe a Dangerfield, maybe a Buddy.

“Probably a Dangerfield, given he was last year’s Brownlow medallist, he will almost certainly be All-Australian this year."

Paul Roos also agreed with the Duck, saying that if there was no recognised captain he would also go with Dangerfield.
