WWE has released Enzo Amore after allegations of sexual assault surfaced online.

Amore, whose real name is Eric Arndt, was suspended and then terminated by the company hours after the 25th anniversary edition of Monday Night Raw.

WWE released a statement on their website confirming the news on Tuesday.

"WWE has come to terms on the release of Eric Arndt (Enzo Amore)," they wrote.

Amore was initially suspended by the company after the news broke.

"WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving sexual harassment or sexual assault. Until this matter is resolved, Eric Arndt (aka Enzo Amore) has been suspended," they wrote.

Allegations of sexual assault against Amore have surfaced online with a woman accusing him of drugging and sexually assaulting her back in October.

The Phoenix Police Department confirmed a report had been filed by the victim back in October.

It has been reported that Amore failed to tell WWE about the investigation, which is still ongoing, which saw them move to terminate his employment.
