The Australian Rugby Union has handed Karmichael Hunt a $10,000 fine and four game suspension following his off-field drug related offence.
Earlier this year Hunt was fined $300 by Brisbane Magistrates Court, pleading guilty on separate charges of possession a dangerous drug and contravening police.
However, the ARU has come down hard on the former NRL and AFL player, by handing down their punishment.
Although, despite being served a suspension, according to the ARU it was "deemed that his four-match suspension has been served" meaning he is free to play for the Queensland Reds.
Hunt will also be placed on an illicit drug testing program for 12 months.
