FFA Cup Final

Adelaide United have the chance to create history when they meet Sydney FC in tonight's FFA Cup Final.

If the Reds can topple last season's A-League champions, they will become the first club in the FFA Cup's short history to win the trophy twice.

In only its fourth season of existence, the FFA Cup has been won by both Melbourne sides (City last season, Victory in 2015), while Adelaide beat Perth Glory 1-0 to take out the inaugural final in 2014.

Sydney FC have a chance to make history in their own right, vying to be the first club in A-Leauge/FFA Cup history to win three trophies in one calendar year - the Champion's Trophy, Premier's Plate and FFA Cup.

However Sydney don't exactly hold fond memories of the FFA Cup, having made and lost the two previous finals.

And it seems the barbs are already flying, with United defender Taylor Regan throwing shade at the underwhelming crowd expected tonight.
