Perth Glory have conceded a goal directly out of the FIFA video game playbook tonight.
With their game against Melbourne City at NIB Stadium at 5-3 in the 90th minute, Glory goalkeeper Liam Reddy took possession of the ball on the edge of the penalty area.
Instead of just clearing the ball, Reddy instead elected to go on a mazy run from the edge of his own area.
Deciding he was Maradona, Reddy tried to take on City’s forwards but gave the ball up to literally the first bloke he tried to get past.
A couple of challenges later the ball was nestling in the back of the net courtesy of the easiest finish Nick Fitzgerald will ever have.

What the hell was he thinking?
