The Adelaide United v Brisbane Roar A-League match at Hindmarsh Stadium ended in farce today, with police apparently having to step in to calm an incident involving two assistant coaches.

The game itself ended in controversy, with Brisbane goalkeeper Michael Theo conceding a penalty and being sent off for elbowing Reds defender Dylan McGowan.

Segrio Cirio scored the resulting penalty to win the match 2-1 for Adelaide, and shortly after the final whistle there was a allegedly a scuffle believed to involve Brisbane assistant Ross Aloisi (brother of John) and Adelaide number two Jacobo Ramallo.
