Richmond has released a statement on Victoria Police’s investigation in to the photos of a nude woman wearing a 2017 premiership medallion that has been circulating.
The club sent out a statement today in the wake of the cops announcing they’d be looking into the photos.
“The Club is aware of a photo that has been circulating on social media.
As the matter is subject to a police investigation we will fully assist with their enquiries, should they be required.
At the Richmond Football Club we feel very strongly about the positive role of women at our Club and in sport generally. We are committed to creating an environment where women can thrive and we are dedicated to promoting attitudes and behaviours that are respectful and supportive of women.
As this is now a police matter it would be inappropriate for the Club to make any further comment at this time.”
