Socceroos superstar Tim Cahill is training with Sydney FC just two weeks after leaving A-League rivals Melbourne City, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Cahill left City with an eye to get more game time ahead of next year’s world cup in Russia and has yet to find a new club.

But Sydney manager Graham Arnold has allowed Cahill to come to the Sky Blues’ training sessions to keep fit for when he does find a new home.

Arnold is the favourite Australian to take over from departed Socceroos manager Ange Postecoglou.

Cahill has been linked to several clubs, including Karabukspor in Turkey before Aussie manager Tony Popovic was sacked.

If Cahill can stay fit enough to be selected for Russia, he could become just the fourth player to score at four separate World Cups after Pele, Uwe Seeler and Miroslav Klose.
