Wild Brawl Erupts On Surry Hills Street Before Sydney FC's Match

Four men have been charged following a brawl which took place in Surry Hills before Sydney FC's A-League match against Melbourne Victory.

Police were called to Ward Park after reports of a brawl involving about 30 people.

Three 18-year-olds and one 19-year-old man were arrested during the second half of the game at Allianz Stadium following video analysis and charged with affray and violent disorder. All four were granted conditional bail and will appear in court at various dates in April.

A 24-year-old man, who was seated with the four charged, was searched and found to be in possession of a small amount of ecstasy.

He was given a court attendance notice for possession of a prohibited drug.

Inquiries are continuing.
