Lowndesy's New Rig Rolls Out

Here she is.

The new Autobarn Lowndes Racing ZB Commodore Craig Lowndes will pilot in 2018.

That's not all that's new.

Sponsor, team name and colours have all been switched up.

Autobarn replaces Caltex on Triple Eight Racing's sister entry to the Red Bull-backed Commodores.

The veteran's already turned about 20 laps in the new car but can't wait to steer the thing in anger at the season opener.

"The first race event in Adelaide couldn’t come quick enough for me and the team,” he said.

“I can’t wait to get out there and see what we can do in the car.

“Everyone back at the workshop has been working around the clock to get the car on the track and we couldn’t be happier with what they’ve done.”

While the car looks different, some things stay the same.

Lowndes will once again pair up with another experienced set of hands in Steven Richards for the PIRTEK Enduro Cup - including the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
