We're calling it.
It's basically Christmas if you're a die hard Supercar fan right now.
Cars are being unwrapped left, right and centre - and just in time for today's pre-season test at Sydney Motorsport Park.
Tickford Racing (they're the guys formerly known as Prodrive) have shown off the latest iteration of the Bottle-O Falcon Mark Winterbottom will run.
Frosty admits to feeling giddy like a school boy.
“As a driver you’re always wanting to get back in the car, and I’m ready to get the new season started."
“Obviously 2017 was a struggle for us, but we finished the year pretty strong which was good."
Entering the final year of his contract, Winterbottom is keenly aware of the need to get himself back up the pointy end of the field in 2018.
“I know we’ve got the ability to run up front, so I’m extremely motivated to get to the pointy end and stay there.”
Another team that's given us a perve is Nissan Motorsport who've dressed Michael Caruso's Altima in the colours of new sponsor Drive.com.au.
The team didn't win any races last year so they're understandably pumped to land former NASCAR man Nick Ollila as technical director.
Caruso can't wait to sort the package at the Sydney test.
“The test day will be an opportunity to try a few things and get really comfortable ahead of the first race in Adelaide in a fortnight’s time.”
