And they were right.

The spills began on lap 2 when pole-sitter Scott McLaughlin lost it at Murrays just before the finish line.

And since then, there's been a long list of erm, incidents.

The wet stuff is forecast to continue for sometime yet.

But if you think it's going to slow these guys down, you're wrong.

After 40 laps, Cameron Waters' partner Richie Stanaway leads the way in the Monster Energy Ford from David Reynolds' co-driver Luke Youlden in the Penrite Erebus Holden.
