Strap Yourself In For A Massive Weekend Of Motorsport

Supercars, F1 and the Aus MotoGP!

If you live and breathe motorsport, then this weekend is all for you.

Where do we begin?

SUPERCARS.

That's where.

They'll thread their way through the concrete jungle of Surfers Paradise in the final outing of the Pirtek Enduro Series.

The Gold Coast 600 is the one after the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

It's a street circuit that dates back to 1991 when Indycar first visited Australia and was tightened by 1.5 kilometres in 2010.

The cars will top speeds of 265km/h around the usually bumpy 2.96 kilometre track.

Cars will have to stop twice for fuel and/or tyres in Saturday and Sunday's 102-lap races.

Expect the Shell V-Power Racing Team boys to bounce back strongly after Bathurst with Fabian Coulthard leading the championship.

Team-mate Scott McLaughlin is 3rd in the standings behind a man who can never be counted out, Jamie Whincup.

Channel Ten and Fox Sports are broadcasting the action all weekend.

FORMULA 1.

We're off to Austin, Texas this weekend for the United States Grand Prix.

It's where Daniel Ricciardo gets a crack at the American dream, a podium at one of his favourite tracks on the calendar.

Ricciardo's logged two podium appearances at the Circuit of the Americas previously.

He finished third in 2014 and again last year when he memorably allowed Hollywood star Gerard Butler to share in his shoey.

*Here's a refresher.

Post

The Aussie usually likes to get to Texas early to check out the Austin City Limits festival and lap up the traditional American cuisine (ie. a big greasy Texas BBQ burger, what else?!).

Actually that probably sounds more exciting than the somewhat non-existent fight for the Championship right now.

Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton is running away with it after chief rival Sebastian Vettel enduring a shocking run since the mid-season break in August.

Thanks to the joy of time-zones, Monday morning's when you'll see the American Grand Prix.

Set the alarm for 5:00 am (AEDST) and flick it on Fox Sports.

MOTO GP.

It's probably one of the most exciting places on earth where you can ride a motorbike fast, besides maybe the Isle Of Man where the words "death defying" are an understatement.

This weekend's Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix promises to offer up yet another compelling chapter in the race for the title.

Repsol Honda's Marc Marquez leads Ducati Team's Andrea Dovizioso by a slender 11 points.

Movistar Yamaha's Maverick Vinales is third in the pecking order.

In fact, pronouncing these guys' names is about as much fun as pronouncing "Whatshernameagainiova" in the tennis.

Thankfully, Moto GP is some of the most exciting racing you'll get to watch anywhere on the planet.

Fear is a foreign concept for many of these daredevil riders.

You can count Aussie Jack Miller among them, he's getting back on his bike just 3 weeks after breaking his leg in a motocross accident.

For reals.

They'll race at 04:00pm on Sunday (AEDST) and you'll be able to see it live on ONE.
