Block out August 24-26 2018 on the calendar.

That's when the Supercars will race at the country's newest racing circuit - The Bend Motorsport Park.

A deal has been announced today to officially give the event the green light.

So where is The Bend?

It's at Tailem Bend, which is a stone's throw from Murray Bridge.

If you're coming from Adelaide, it's about an hour south-east of town down the South Eastern Freeway and Dukes Highway.

The $110 million dollar complex will deliver South Australia its second appearance in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship after the popular Adelaide 500 in March.

The Super Sprint will be run on the International configuration of the circuit which has 18 turns and is 4.9 kilometres long and should be completed early next year.

“This track is completely different to the street circuit used in the Adelaide 500 and we’re confident that with its world-class design, the racing will be just as exciting and memorable for fans," said Supercars Australia Managing Director Matt Braid.

The 308-metre long four-level pit building that's still under construction cost $20 million alone.

Around 50,000 people are expected to witness a 120 kilometre race on the Saturday and a 200-kay jaunt on Sunday.

Interstaters will find extra reasons to make the trip with a 100-bed hotel and an extensive campground catering for up to 10,000 people expected for completion by March.
