The family of a missing woman 26 years ago have put up a $1 million reward to solve her disappearance.

Revelle Balmain vanished from the Kingsford Park area in 1994, with her makeup bag, keys and a shoe of hers found on nearby Ainslie Street.

There were numerous investigations into the 22-year-old's disappearance, but no trace of her has been found.

It was revealed that Ms Balmain had been working as a sex worker at two Sydney escort agencies and had been at a Kingsford house on McNair Avenue to visit a client the night she went missing.

Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Bell says after 26 years, it's time this case was closed.
