If you happened to be at the Entertainment Centre last night for Green Day's Brisbane show, you would've witnessed a moment this young musician won't forget!

13-year-old Ky from Ballina, who was with his father in the front row of the concert was plucked from the crowd, given a guitar and the chance to play with his idols.

The teen's father, Justin, who said his son was 'still walking on air' recalled the moment to Triple M.

"What a bunch of legends. Green Day should be seriously thanked and appreciated. Not only have they given us some killer albums over the last 20 plus years but are also giving back to the young kids that adore their music and them," he said.

"He was dreaming this would happen since last October when I told him I just bought us both tix down the front.. as he’s seen footage of other kids around the world.

"What a class act Green Day are to young musicians that adore them.

"He was even given the guitar fully singed after he was in dreamland for a brief period."

"The rock world lovers should know what an unbelievable gesture this was from the band."

"This kid is floating above the planet at the moment."

So happy for you, mate!

Tune into the Luke Bradnam Show with Libby Trickett and Dobbo this arvo for our catch-up with Ky!
