Police have arrested and charged a 16-year-old Cairns boy with 41 offences following an investigation into multiple offences committed across the Greater Cairns area.

It will be alleged the boy was involved in burglaries amongst other offences committed over the past month in Gordonvale, Edmonton, Bentley Park, Earlville and Cairns North.

The boy was charged with twelve counts of burglary, ten counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, five counts of attempted enter dwelling, four counts of trespass, three counts of stealing, two counts of contravention of a domestic violence order and one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlicenced driving, enter dwelling, enter premise and receiving tainted property.

He is scheduled to re-appear in the Cairns Children’s Court next month.
