48 Year Old Man Dies In Sandigo Truck Crash

A 48 year old man has been killed in a truck crash on the Sturt Highway at Sandigo, near Narrandera, yesterday afternoon.

Police are preparing a report for the coroner, saying they've been told the truck, which was carrying a load of eggs, veered to the incorrect side of the highway before it left the road, and travelled for around 100 metres, before striking several trees and a fence.

The driver was trapped in the wreckage, with passing motorists calling emergency services.

Sadly though, he could not be revived.
