1. Eat On Smaller Plates

But there's loads of research behind the fact that a smaller plate will not only cut down the amount of food you eat (no seconds please!), it will actually trick your mind into thinking you ate more since the plate looks so full.
2. Take the stairs
We've heard this one many times before and we'll say it again - Take the flippin' the stairs!
It may seem like a feat, but unlike the elevator, the stairs are your one way ticket to tone-ville. It’s strength training without actually hitting the gym (and it takes way less time).
A lack of sleep as been attributed to weight gain, a slower metabolism and an increased risk of obesity and diabetes. With that in mind, it might be time to clock in an extra few hours of zzz's to watch your waistline slim and your energy shoot through the roof.
4. Water before meals
Our bodies can become very confused at eating time: Am I hungry or am I thirsty? Help make the decision a little easier by having a big glass of water before a meal. If you're not hungry, it'll kick that craving straight away, if you are hungry, then the water will keep you fuller so you won't eat as much. Win-win!
5. Drink "Skinny" cocktails
We all love knocking off at 4pm on a Friday to hit Happy Hour, but the indulgent past-time can lead to one too many calories.
