A 50-year-old mother of two boys has been sentenced to at least one-year jail time after she admitted to trafficking ice.

Police had stopped the woman on October 11, 2018 as she was leaving a Toowoomba hotel car park with 10.48g of crystalline substance discovered in her possession. Upon closer examination, the substance was found to have 8.048g of methylamphetamine equating to a 75% purity.

Police investigations revealed the woman had supplied the drug around 31 times over a one-month period to approximately 13 customers.

Upon sentencing the court took into consideration that the woman had already spend 189 days in pre-sentence custody, sentencing her to three years behind bars, but ordered she be released on parole in October (this year) in which time she will have served 12-months behind bars.
