Major technical issues have caused chaos during the 9 news in Melbourne tonight. 

The network were forced to take the feed from Sydney while the problems were sorted out. 

Peter Hitchener handled the situation like an absolute pro after coming back from the unscheduled break in programming. 

Autocues and computers were still broken so Hitch jumped back in with his glasses and paper and rolled on.
