A bloke in Melbourne’s north has been caught five times over the limit after drink driving to pick up Chinese takeaway, according to The Age.
He was caught almost by pure luck after a cop from Fawkner Highway Patrol was tipped off by staff about a customer who had picked up his meal and looked intoxicated.
The cop took off after the man and pulled him over on Sydney Road in Fawkner.
The driver underwent a breath test and returned a blood-alcohol reading of 0.253.
His licence was suspended and his car was impounded for 30 days.
