How do we fix it?

Parents throughout the GV are beginning to grow wary of sending their children to school for fear their kids may be subject to violence or bullying.

Unfortunately, this is not a fresh problem, with aggression in the schoolyard notably worsening over the past 10 years or so.

Kids are now bringing weapons to school, finding out where other children live and turning up at their homes and are utilising social media to bully and harass each other.

This means kids are begging their parents to stay home from school and no longer feel safe in their own homes with bullies now able to access them almost constantly.

This is a very touchy subject for some parents, however, Bill has some very strong opinions on the matter. To discuss the issue, Bill invited child Psychotherapist Dr Karen Phillips on the show who offered some insight into the aggressive behaviours of the latest generation.

Bill & Dr Phillips discuss where the aggression is originating from, why discipline from teachers is so rarely seen and why parents are finding it difficult to enforce rules on their kids.
