Filmmaker Josh Cable is releasing a documentary about Collingwood’s breakthrough 2018 season, according to Jay Clark in the Herald Sun.

Cable was granted significant access to the Pies’ inner sanctum, following the club all the way to their grand final loss to West Coast.

The film focuses on the way coach Nathan Buckley rebuilt the culture of the club and turned around on-field results despite injury woes all year.

The doco also focuses on Jordan de Goey’s internal suspension, Sam Murray’s ban for drug use, Jamie Elliott’s injury problems and the tragic passing of Travis Varcoe’s sister Maggie.

The video is expected to be released in time for the 2019 season.
