Food Truck Fridays are getting an Australia Day makeover with North Brisbane Rugby Club putting on their biggest foodie event yet.
Close to a dozen food trucks will take over Shaw Road for a "multicultural offering of food trucks" Norths says is "in line with our nation as it is today".
Among the favourites are La Cucina, Ms Kalamari and Wiven Mad About Fish n Chips, as well as sweet treats from Bad Boys Doughnuts and ice-cream vans.
There'll also be a free giant waterslide for adults and kids alike, a jumping castle - that one's just for the kids - a thong throwing competition and plenty of cricket.
This week's Food Truck Friday kicks off a little earlier than usual, with drinks and food available from 2pm and live Aussie music by Pete Cullen from 3pm; for more info, head to Norths Rugby Club's Facebook page.
