The 50 year old allegedly ram raided four businesses Sunday night in a stolen Nisaan. He was found on Sydney Street around 10:30 yesterday morning with the stolen Navara found on Gordon Street four hours later. Charged with four counts of break and enter and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle he will appear in Mackay Magistrates Court today.

A truckie is in a serious but stable condition in Hospital after his fuel tanker rolled. The truck rolled on the Peak Downs Highway spilling diesel across the road just before one yesterday afternoon. Police blocked the road while the RACQ CQ Rescue Helicopter was tasked to airlift the man for further treatment.

Medical professionals are being thanked, for saving a record number of lives last month. While data from Queensland Health also shows cardiac related conditions continues to be a big problem, here in Mackay just over 260 people fronted up at our hospitals with a serious and potentially fatal heart problem. Health Minister Steven Miles came out thanking our paramedics for responding to them so quickly

It was originally developed by researchers at CQ University, and since starting has clocked up over 200 billion registered steps. Professor Corneel Vandelanotte says it's been a very successful initiative.
