A NSW woman has lost 28 demerit points in one go over the long weekend.

The Central Coast woman was pulled over by highway patrol officers on the Pacific Hwy yesterday after being spotted using her mobile phone while driving (five demerit points).

Upon inspection, NSW police discovered three children in the back in child seats that weren't anchored correctly (three demerit points per child).

As it was the Easter long weekend, the driver copped double demerit points, meaning instead of losing 14 demerit points she lost a whopping 28 points in one whack, to go along with a $1348 fine.
