A Second Person Has Died After Maroubra Beach Crash
Sad news
A second person has died following an incident on Wednesday which saw a vehicle plummet onto Maroubra Beach.
The vehicle had been travelling along Marine Parade, when it then fell five to seven metres over an embankment, with two elderly passengers on board.
A woman, 86, was behind the wheel, and passed away on Saturday after sustaining chest and spinal injuries in the crash.
An 80-year-old man was in the passenger seat, and he suffered chest, head and lower limb injuries.
He was trapped inside the vehicle for a while as rescue crews worked to free him, but he died on Sunday from injuries sustained in the crash.
