The NRL’s newest team is expected to be an instant success when they enter the competition in 2023 according to one former Queensland great.

Speaking on The Big Breakfast with Marto & Margaux former Broncos and Maroons hardman Brent Tate has given his endorsement for the club that started his career.

“I genuinely believe they’ll be a success straight away once they hit the ground running.”

Importantly, it's the unprecedented pathway for young talent that Brisbane's second team will have access to that has the former Kangaroo most excited.

Tate, who played NRL 229 games and represented Queensland on 23 occasions is one of twenty-six NRL players to have come through the heritage Brisbane club’s system. As Tate revealed the battle scars of his Dolphins debut in the Queensland Cup remain with him today.
