A Teenager has been seriously injured in a vehicle rollover at Sarina Beach yesterday afternoon. The driver was thrown from a four-wheel drive being travelling on Johnsons Beach, just off Sarina Beach Rd. Ambo's were called to the crash about 1.15pm. Two other passengers were admitted in a stable condition. 

The Mackay Ring Road is at risk as the major subcontractor collapses. Multifix went under last week, allegedly owing subcontractors hundreds of thousands of dollars. Concerns have been reported that principal contractor CPB was aware of the businesses financial situation for months but did little to protect subbies and employees. Dawson MP George Christensen is calling on the State Government to step in.

Victims of sexual violence are rallying to have their voices heard across Mackay. Roundtables have been scheduled across the State to discuss the rising crime, and figure out ways to best prevent it. Minister for Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence Di Farmer says the statistics are alarming. For those unable to make it to the sit down sessions submissions can be made through the Queensland Government website until the end of April.

Black Lung Forums are on-route to Mackay. The Mine Dust Diseases Victims Group will hold the events to inform current and former coal miners about the disease tomorrow. Victims Group Advocate Jim Pearce said over a hundred current and retired coal industry workers in the State have now been diagnosed.
