After a wet weekend in North Queensland, we were given a beautiful finale yesterday arvo with stunning sunset images quickly filling our newsfeed.
Ex-tropical Cyclone Owen gave the Ross River Dam a decent drink, with a top up of 6% so far, bringing the current capacity to 68%.
Halifax saw the biggest dumping of water though, with 681mm in a short 24 hour window.
But now the summer skies have returned and warm weather is on the cards for Townsville.
Today we'll hit a top of 35, and that'll be the same conditions for Tuesday before a slightly cooler 33 predicted for Wednesday.
Looking towards Christmas week, partly cloudy skies are predicted with temperatures ranging from 25-33 degrees.
The Christmas Day forecast hasn't been released yet- but we'll bring it to you ASAP.
