Adam "Mad Dog" MacDougall has seen his fair share of pre-season training sessions, but even his worst involved a fair bit of laughter.
The ex-Knights star joined Triple M's The Rush Hour with MG on Wednesday, where he and Mark "MG" Geyer reminisced about the joys about "the dark and lonely place of pre-season training".
But MacDougall was quick to throw his former teammate, Danny Buderus, under the bus, recounting a cracking yarn that involved the Knights heading to an SAS camp.
"We spent the whole pre-season trying to make our muscles bigger and stronger and put on all this fitness," MacDougall said.
"They starve us for five days... Make us not sleep. We end up losing all the muscle that we built."
MacDougall, who hosts The Health Hacker podcast, also spoke about the best recovery story he'd ever heard - although, again, we're not too sure his former teammates would be happy to hear it.
