Adelaide Oval has rewritten its history books, setting an all-time Test record during the 2017/18 Ashes.

173,849 fans have flocked to the ground across the first four days of the Test between Australia and England, more than they've ever seen through the gates.

Another 22,000 fans saw the action on day four, seeing them past the 172,361 fans who rocked up to the Ashes Test 85 years ago.

And there's still a day to go!

Maybe. Depending on how England bat.

Highest ever Test attendances at Adelaide Oval:

173,849 - Australia vs. England, 2017/18 (as of day four)

172,361 - Australia vs. England, 1932/33

171,135 - Australia vs. England, 1936/37

162,499 - Australia vs. England, 1954/55

153,530 - Australia vs. England, 2013/14
