We hear an heartbreaking story about 12 year old Ethan Chamings who since breaking his leg during netball training, has discovered he has a rare form of bone cancer.

Roo, Ditts & Loz speak with family friend Luke, who alongside many of the members of the local sporting community are leading the charge to support Ethan and his family.

"It's times like these where you realise family is so important," Luke said.

Thanks to the support of Salisbury Sharks Soccer Club and Elizabeth Fireworks Netball Club, a fundraiser has been organised to support the family's ongoing medical bills.

The Adelaide Football Club has also made an incredible offer to family during this tough time.

The local sporting community has stepped up, find out how here:

If you'd like to support Ethan, you can get involved by coming along to the fundraiser this weekend on Sunday 11th of December at the Salisbury Sharks Soccer Club

You can also support by donating to the GoFundMe here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/r6rbhk-ethans-journey
