Looks like the teams aren't the only change to AFLX this year.

The AFL has posted vision on social media of a new, pink Sherrin that looks like will be used throughout the AFLX tournament next month.

The ball is bright pink - much like the pink cricket balls recently introduced into day-night Test cricket - with silver logos on the sides.

AFLX has been overhauled in 2019 after just one year, with Adelaide's Eddie Betts, Geelong's Patrick Dangerfield, Fremantle's Nat Fyfe and Richmond's Jack Riewoldt to captain and pick their sides.

Betts is leading the Deadlys - an all-Indigenous line-up - while Dangerfield captains the Bolts, Fyfe captaining the Flyers and Riewoldt skippering the Rampage.

The games will be held on Friday, February 22 at Marvel Stadium.
