A single C-17A Globemaster III will conduct two flypasts over Townsville in support of Remembrance Day commemorations.

The first flypast will take place over the Thuringowa Cenotaph about 10.57 am. The C-17A Globemaster will then complete a second flypast along the Strand, flying over Anzac Park at 11am.

This year is the centenary of the First World War Armistice, and the final year of the Centenary of Anzac (2014-18). One hundred years on from the end of the First World War, Remembrance Day 2018 represents a hugely significant occasion in our nation’s history.
