Individuals who have given back to Dalby and the wider district have been recognised for their efforts in this year’s Australia Day Awards.

The individual Australia Day Award winners were announced for the region yesterday.

Western Downs Regional Council Mayor Paul McVeigh said he was honoured to announce the local winners of the 2017 Australia Day Awards for the Western Downs, whose outstanding achievements and contributions will be celebrated at special ceremonies held across the region on Thursday 26 January.

The 2017 Local Winners for the Western Downs Australia Day Awards are:

Citizen of the Year Award:

All recipients will receive their certificates next Thursday and Regional winners will be announced at Australia Day celebrations on Thursday 26 January.
