Titans cult hero Anthony Don yesterday announced that he will hang up the boots at the end of the season, bringing with it the end to one of the most unlikely NRL careers.

The fan favourite, who didn’t make his NRL debut until the age of age of the twenty-five, will walk away from the game with the mantle of being the Gold Coast Titans all-time leading try-scorer. Not bad for a former PE teacher. 

Speaking on The Rush Hour Queenslander with Dobbo Don responded to how he dealt with the ‘surprising’ cult hero status that was lumped on him, especially by the Triple M call team.
