An Australian paraglider went viral over the weekend after he managed to capture the exact moment two kangaroos violently opposed his landing technique.

Johnathan Bishop had been cruising over Canberra for a couple of hours when he decided to call it a day and headed for a clear patch of ground around the tracking station.

Except there were a couple of mad marsupials waiting in the wings.

"I decided to land on the concrete slab of the old Orroral Space Tracking Station," Bishop explained. "I was concentrating on the landing and didn't notice the kangaroo until after I landed.

"As it ran towards me, I thought it was being friendly so I said, 'What's up Skip?'

"It then attacked me twice before hopping away. I packed up my paraglider and had to walk several kilometres to get phone reception and call a friend to come and collect me."

If the whole situation wasn't "Straya" enough for you, Bishop's immediate reaction to the kangaroos coming at him is; check it out below.
