Silicosis is a lung disease that’s caused by inhaling tiny bits of silica dust, often when Aussie tradies are cutting, grinding and drilling engineered stone – and it’s killing thousands.
The CFMEU (Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union) is calling for a shutdown of the importation and manufacture of engineered stone products following Silicosis cases surging in the construction industry.
