Australia and Singapore Agree To Plans For A "Safe & Calibrated" Travel Bubble

The Prime Minister managed to slide in a successful Singapore stop-over on Thursday before heading to the G7 Summit in Cornwall.

The PM and his counterpart Lee Hsien Loong have vowed to ramp up efforts to create a quarantine-free travel bubble that, in its incubation would allow students to return to Australia.

Singapore has recorded on average four local Covid-19 cases a day and are rolling out their vaccine program with younger people included in the programme.

Mr Morrison has congratulated Singapore on a "tremendous" job in tackling the virus and would like to see the two countries create a travel bubble, similar to the Australia-New Zealand bubble starting with students in the hope of countering some of  the financial losses driven by the pandemic on universities.
