A bus has rolled on the Eastern Freeway near Chandler Highway, with some peak hour stress building for commuters.
The accident happened at roughly 4.45pm, with the bus rolling on its side on the median strip.
The driver has been taken to hospital with minor injuries, and luckily the bus was otherwise empty.
Two outbound lanes of the freeway and one inbound lane are closed at the time of writing, as traffic quickly builds in the area.
“We suggest drivers avoid the Eastern Freeway, and consider Heidelberg Road through Alphington or Studley Park Road into Kew as alternatives,” VicRoads said in a statement.
“VicRoads engineers are helping to minimise delays on surrounding roads by tweaking traffic signals.”
