Basil Fires Up: Why Didn't We Bid For The 2026 Commonwealth Games?

A “fired up” Lord Mayor Baz has described his disappointment at the WA State Government for not bidding for the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

This morning, on his Triple M Breakfast show, Basil let fly at the "lost opportunity".

“If you want to stand for something, you need to have a vision,

“There was no appetite from the state government,

“This is a lost opportunity... I think that is a real shame."
