Let's be honest, it's been a shit year for musicians, but like most legends, they've been making lemonade out of the lemons that is 2020 and us music lovers are reaping the benefits.

The latest Aussie legend who's ready to serve up some lemonade is Bernard Fanning, who joined Triple M's Becko this week to talk about how he's connecting with fans in this time.

The Powderfinger frontman is performing private gigs via the service Serenade, that allows fans to buy a personalised song, making the perfect gift for any music lover.

The creative new concept is a way to connect bands with fans, and giving musicians another creative outlet, and creative way to make money.

Talking about creativity, it looks like we will be hearing some new stuff from the Aussie rock musician, Bernard told Becko he's working on some new material, saying: "I've been writing here and there. I'm slowly chipping away at making a record."
